SUPPORT IN THE HOSPITAL
Before commencing your placement, we’ll inquire about your preferred elective specialty. On your placement start date, we’ll introduce you to your supervisors, who may also introduce you to other local medical students. Take the opportunity to connect with them, as their presence can be beneficial.
Your supervisors will involve you in ward rounds and allow you to observe operations in theaters. If you demonstrate confidence, they may even provide hands-on experience.
Despite potential language barriers, many patients can communicate in basic English, which can be advantageous.he majority of patients are open to engaging with elective students and are also friendly towards them.
You can be confident that your university documents will be endorsed by the hospital authorities once the elective is completed.
